Chachipe Map Contest Winners Announced

Nine photos out of 1,117 were announced winners by the international jury of the Chachipe Map photography contest, which was organized for countries participating in the Decade of Roma Inclusion 200-2015.

The collection contains video documentation of the underground art scene and episodes of everyday life in Budapest, as seen by a foreign artist who witnessed the period of the great political and cultural transformations from 1989 to 1994.

The Dead Library exhibition is an experiment in modeling unread book collections from Hungarian libraries. For this purpose, we have selected five thousand Hungarian books that were published between 1945 and 1989 in Hungary, on topics of general interest, which, according to reference service registers have not been checked out since 1989.

For a better and deeper understanding of the interdependent recent history of (the center of) Europe, the International Visegrad Fund offers 15 research fellowship grants annually in the Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives at Central European University, Budapest on a competitive basis to support scholars who wish to conduct research in the holdings of OSA, and whose current research projects are relevant to the holdings and the given research priorities of the Fund and OSA.
