Manuscript A(u)ction

Kántor Péter: A bolgár királynő
Fri, 12/21/2012 - 17:00

On the first day of winter, Osa Archivum will organize a Manuscript A(u)ction in cooperation with Sziget Kulturális Szervező Iroda, Magvető Könyvkiadó and Summa Artium.

Over the past decade, OSA and the Lifeline Foundation for the Homeless have organized a charity auction for the homeless every year. Due to changes in the situation of the Foundation, this year this cannot happen. However,  we do wish to continue our efforts to help our fellow citizens in need, though in a different way. The money raised at the auction will be given to the Heated Street program run by Oltalom Karitatív Egyesület led by Gábor Iványi.

This year manuscripts donated by around 60 famous contemporary Hungarian poets, writers and composers will be auctioned.

The auctioneer will be Judit Virág. Róbert Alföldi, actor and Péter Bársony, violist will perform at the event.

With this unusual auction, organizers and donors wish not only to express their solidarity with people in need, highlighting the government’s controversial policy regarding the homeless, but also to assert their commitment to Hungarian culture.. Venue of the auction: Galeria Centralis (OSA Archivum), 1051 Budapest, Arany J. u. 32.

The following writers, poets and composers offered their manuscripts:

Balla Zsófia, Bán Zsófia, Bartis Attila, Bodor Ádám, Bródy János, Csukás István, Darvasi László, Dés László, Dragomán György, Dresch Mihály, Eötvös Péter, Erdős Virág, Esterházy Péter, Fekete Gyula, Ferencz Győző, Fischer Iván, Garaczi László, Grecsó Krisztián, Grencsó István, Háy János, Jeles András, Jeney Zoltán, Kántor Péter, Kemény István, Kiss Tibor/Quimby, Konrád György, Kornis Mihály, Krasznahorkai László, Kurtág György, Lackfi János, Lator László, Marék Veronika, Márkos Albert, Márton László, Menyhárt Jenő, Mosonyi Aliz, Müller Péter Sziámi, Nádas Péter, Nádasdy Ádám, Németh Gábor, Parti Nagy Lajos, Presser Gábor, Sáry László, Snétberger Ferenc, Spiró György, Takács Zsuzsa, Térey János, Tóth Krisztina, Várady Szabolcs, Víg Mihály, Závada Pál, Závada Péter.
