As in previous years, the Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives (Blinken OSA) hosts incoming students from the various departments of the Central European University for short orientation sessions introducing them to the world of archives in the 21st century. The sessions are held every day of the current week (September 4-8, 2017).
Upon arrival, students are given a short introductory lecture about the various research possibilities by professional archivists, and have an opportunity to see the whole building of OSA, the Goldberger House, including the heart of the Archives: the main repository where the collections are stored. After the session, students can register officially to become researchers at Blinken OSA.
