Over more than two decades of its existence the Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives has grown to be not only one of the largest international archives of Communism and the Cold War but also an internationally recognized research center and an important player in the cultural life of Budapest. Not everybody is aware, perhaps, that the Blinken OSA is a professionally independent organizational unit of the Central European University, and has made a substantial contribution to the development of the local and international prestige of the University.
