Scope and content

The first seven boxes in this series contain the manuscripts of István György Tóth's publications in Hungarian, English, German, French, and Italian language, often several versions of the same manuscript. Unpublished manuscripts, as well as those published under a different title are also included. Manuscripts whose date of creation was impossible to identify, are marked with an approximate date, which is their date of publication. On occasion, a few short letters or notes accompany the manuscripts.

The series also contains manuscripts by other authors, which Tóth received during his editorial work. He was an editor with the Történelmi Szemle (Historical Review) from 1990, and also editor-in-chief and author of the Millenium Hungarian History published in 2001.
