Scope and content

This series contains the letters of the politician, poet and historian Miklós Istvánffy (1538-1615), as copied and used by István György Tóth during his research. These are oversized xerox copies, with transcripts, notes, corrections and translations that were made in preparation for publication. The published letters were then compared and with their originals.
