Scope and content

Consists of Board records, records of the Office of the President, as well as documentation from the Communications and Publications departments.

Records that have already been partially processed document the whole gamut of activities of the Soros foundations network. The types of publications range from annual publications and monthly periodicals to individual copies. Titles include Annual Reports, Building Open Societies, Directories, Fellow Observer, Open Society News, US Program News, US Program Notes and Focus: News from the Network Women's Program.

Video recordings of the Communications Department, containing media coverage of OSI sponsored projects, form part of the fonds.

Of special interest are video recordings from the Center of Crime, Communities & Culture; the Forced Migration Projects and the films of the Soros Documentary Fund.
