Scope and content
Supplementary Grants Program was relatively small. It was implemented in 1994 with a budget of approximately $700,000. The goal of the program was to support those science teams in the FSU which were already involved in joint projects with Western scientists. The grants were given on the condition that the Western partner obtain a matching grant from government sources. The program did not involve competition. 142 projects were allocated additional funding in the amount of $5,000 each. These resources were mainly directed towards equipment purchases and individual grants for the former Soviet scientists participating in the projects.
The series contains grant applications, budget proposals, award letters, correspondence and memos.Accruals Not expected
